Colleen was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1957 and grew up in Australia, Mexico, and various cities in the United States. She came to Houston, Texas in 1979. Colleen is a self taught artist and has taken art classes at Miami Dade Community College and Rhode Island College.


Much of her work reflects her love for nature. The first public piece she did was a cow for the Cow Parade in Houston, The Wildlife Cow, which was sold at auction. Her work has been shown at National Art Services, Heights Gallery, and Art on the Avenue 2007. She has done many commissioned pieces for Children’s Hospitals and individuals.
Colleen likes to work with acrylic, color pencils, pyrography (wood burning), and watercolor. Her latest works combine colored pencil, pyrography and watercolor on wood.
