Marne Law graduated from Loretto Heights College in Denver with a degree in Art. She continued her education receiving a Masters in Art Education and a Doctorate in Educational Administration. She taught art at the Junior and Senior High level in Bloomington, Minnesota for 23 years and was in School Administration as Assistant Principal for her last 7 years.
Since her retirement, Marne has belonged to 5 different art organizations and taken numerous art workshops from professional artists from around the country.
She has entered many art competitions, both juried and non-juried and has won many awards including more recently, 1st and 2nd places in Watercolor and People's Choice Awards at the Artists of Minnesota Annual shows in 2005 and 2006 . In Texas, she has won 1st , 2nd, 3rd and HM at the Brownsville International Shows as well as the Octavia Arneson Award for her watercolor paintings in the past several years.
Marne and her husband now live in Laguna Vista , Texas. Her paintings are vibrant and exciting reflecting both her Minnesota roots, travel, and her interest in Texas seascapes, landscapes, flowers, animals and birds.
